Firstly, your details are posted on the secure on-line database attached to this Website, which Police Forces across the country have secure access to.
bikeregister.com also provides protection for buyers and sellers of secondhand bikes. The bikeregister.com Ownership Document is your Log Book and provides proof of ownership for you and any potential buyer. Those considering purchasing a secondhand bike can also check a frame number with the bikeregister.com database to confirm it hasn’t been reported stolen.
Once registered, if your bike is stolen you can ’flag’ your bike as stolen on the database.
You have the choice of purchasing one of the 3 types of registrations below:
Bronze (FOC) – On-line Registration only
-A registration LOG BOOK that you print off yourself, to be used as proof of ownership
-Lifetime registration on the bikeregister secure database
-Secure on-line access to your account on the bikeregister.com website
To obtain a Bikeregister warning label, to alert thieves that your bike is registered after registration, send in a stamped addressed envelope and a cheque or postal order to the value of £1.50 to bikeregister with a print out of your details of your bikes frame number so your registration can be verified.
